Muses are inspirational goddesses of literature, science, and art, as per Greek mythology. My muse - Late Dr. Seena Jose was every bit a goddess! From her passionate and feisty soul to her nurturing and calm demeanor, she was every bit a goddess. From her starched sarees and flowy silks to her kohl-lined dreamy eyes, she was every bit a goddess! And then, when she wrote her poems and sang in her mellifluous voice, she was a goddess some more!
I called her Chechi (elder sister), and she called me Chotu (little one). As I battled some very dark days, for motivation to wake up, for strength to show up, she remained my rock and became the sole inspiration for me to get up and pour my heart into words.
This book celebrates her life, a life so large and full that it spread happiness to anyone it touched. Publishing this work is a way of honoring my Chechi’s life, an ode to her dream of seeing me write.
Until I hold you in heaven Chechi, I will hold you in my heart.
